Prugar’s Pick of the Week follows WPIAL Quad-A action again this week as Bethel Park heads to Woodland Hills. New this week are Prugar’s Games of the Week for all WPIAL classes.
Prugar’s Pick of the Week- Bethel Park vs. Woodland Hills
Woodland Hills welcomes Bethel Park to the Wolvarena Friday night for a Quad-A WPIAL Southeastern Conference game. Led by senior running back Miles Sanders, the Wolverines look to build off the 37-0 win over Peters Township last week. The Blackhawks of Bethel Park look to get in the win column after losing the season opener to Central Catholic last week, 28-12.
Game of the Week- West Allegheny vs. Chartiers Valley
In Parkway Conference action, West Allegheny hits the parkway to take on conference foe, Chartiers Valley. The Colts, fresh off a 40-14 win over Hopewell, look to go avenge their 62-14 loss to the Indians last year and star 2-0 on the year and in conference play Friday night. West Allegheny, victors over New Castle 41-14 last week, is looking to get road victory number one for the season.
Game of the Week- Beaver Falls vs. Southmoreland
Beaver Falls heads to Southmoreland for WPIAL Class-AA action Friday night. The Tigers are fresh off a season opening victory over Freedom and are looking to get to 2-0 on the year with their first road contest of the season against the Scotties of Southmoreland. Southmoreland looks to continue their early success with the Scotties’ first home game of the season.
Game of the Week- Jefferson-Morgan vs. Frazier
Frazier used a 35-point second quarter to lead it to victory in a 52-2 rout over Avella in week one action. Jefferson-Morgan used four touchdowns on the ground to propel it to a victory over West Greene last week.
