Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Antonio Brown’s stellar season continues week to week and with each passing week it seems Brown earns another honor.
This week it came in the form of being named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Brown earned that honor after a 16-catch, 189-yard, two-touchdown performance Sunday in a win against the Denver Broncos. Brown also won AFC Offensive Player of the Month in November.
In the process of torching Denver cornerback Chris Harris, who came into the contest having not allowed a touchdown pass in over two seasons, Brown became the second player in history with three games of at least 185 receiving yards in one season.
On the season Brown has racked up 116 receptions, which leads the NFL. He also leads the NFL with a whopping 1,586 yards receiving. It is scary thinking about what his numbers would look like through 15 games if quarterback Ben Roethlisberger would have been healthy all season.
Brown also was named to the Pro Bowl for the third consecutive time on Tuesday.
The Steelers and Brown will travel to Baltimore to take on Ravens on Sunday.
