If things stayed as they are now, the Steelers would be going into the season with a position battle for the starting running back spot. That battle would be between Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer, with Baron Batch as the third string guy. Redman and Dwyer are quality football players, but neither of them are workhorses in this league. Dwyer could be an outstanding spell guy who gives the starter a rest every couple of series, and Redman is one of the best short-yardage conversion guys ... Read More
Steelers sign Gradkowski, re-sign veterans and host Connor
The start of free agency is usually a quiet time for the Steelers In most years - like this one - they are trying to clear cap space instead of spending big money on free agents. If you missed the news yesterday, Mike Wallace cashed in on a deal with the Miami Dolphins that officially makes Antonio Brown the teams No. 1 receiver. The Steelers were able to re-sign Larry Foote to a three-year deal - the team's biggest move so far - as well as Plaxico Burress, David Johnson, Isaac Redman, Jon ... Read More

Should the Steelers Cut Willie Colon this Off-Season?
Over the past two days the Steelers have restructured two contracts and they are planning on doing two more. This is all part of the plan to get the cap number where they need it to be so that they can do what they want in the draft and free agency. Restructuring contracts, likely, won’t be enough on it’s own, however, and the Steelers are expected to make some cuts over the next two weeks. So far during the off-season many, including myself, have included Willie Colon in the discussion when ... Read More
