One thing had stuck out throughout the Pitt Panthers first four games and that is the fact that the Panthers aren't very good defensively early on in the season. That showed up again on Tuesday night as Pitt was outmatched in pretty much every way possible, dropping a second-round Maui Invitational game 74-57 to No. 15 San Diego State. The Aztecs, who came into the game struggling to shoot the ball, shot 58.7 percent from the floor on the night (27-of-46) against the Panthers, which is a ... Read More

Some athletes use their social status for good, not just bad
America loves looking up to sporting world heroes. We admire their talent, we get caught up in the excitement of what they do, and we look to them to provide diversion from the every-day problems in our lives. The stars of the sporting world are worshipped by the fan base and garnish undivided attention of the media. Unfortunately, these heroes, despite their athletic talents, are not always gifted or willing to put forth an effort when it comes to humanitarian support. As recent incidents will ... Read More

Craig Adams recorded his 100th career assist by helping Crosby score, along with help from Kris Letang. “We tried it a couple games ago, and I really liked them together, I was hesitant earlier in the year, I wanted to get a little bit of balance, but they have some great chemistry ... Steelers 2014 rookie class off to less than impactful start
Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert has come under fire lately for some less than spectacular results from some of his more recent draft classes. At the end of the day, bad drafts have played a large role in why this franchise has produced back-to-back 8-8 seasons. As soon as this past draft ended, many experts were grading Colbert’s performance either very positively or very negatively, with not much ground in the middle. I for one did not like the past draft at all, but ... Read More

Pirates not done shopping
The Pirates and General Manager Neal Huntington still have some work ahead of them this offseason as they don't appear to be finished in free agency, but it could be some time before any more moves are made. The lack of free agent signings shouldn't come as a shock to anyone due to the fact that the market really hasn't been established yet for pitching. Big names like Max Scherzer and John Lester haven't signed creating a logjam for other pitchers behind them seeking smaller ... Read More
