They'll expect to go on a similar run as the Stanley Cup playoffs start up next week. The New Jersey Devils defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2, Thursday night, overcoming an early 2-0 deficit. Pittsburgh Steelers use 1st pick on Georgia LB Jarvis Jones
The Pittsburgh Steelers had to wait until the middle of the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, but eventually got their man. With the No. 17 pick the Steelers selected Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones, who helps as a pass rusher immediately. There were a couple spots during the first round where it looked as if the Steelers would lose out on Jones, who they pretty much targeted since day one, but fortunately he fell to them. Jones led the nation in sacks a season ago and did so against the ... Read More

They were held out of Thursday's game against the New Jersey Devils but have a strong chance to come back for the season finale against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. MLB.com PHILADELPHIA -- On a night Wandy Rodriguez did just enough to keep his team in the game, the Pirates did just enough to secure a win on Wednesday. Pitt’s Ray Graham hoping to hear name called in NFL Draft
With the 2013 NFL Draft only a day away, it won't be a good day for the University of Pittsburgh, a school that usually produces a few NFL players per year. It will be a long wait for Roger Goodell to utter the words "From the University of Pittsburgh," as only running back Ray Graham is expected to hear his name called during this draft. When Graham's name will be called is anyone's guess though. Last year was the first year since 1999 that no Pitt player was chosen in the draft and ... Read More

Rest the Stars
The Pittsburgh Penguins have clinched the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, and they have done so without quite of their star players in the lineup. For the most part of the last month they have been without players like Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, James Neal, Paul Martin, and Kris Letang. So I say that why even bring them back during the regular season when they are healthy and risk them getting re-injured. Let them take the time to get all the way back to one hundred percent ... James Harrison, a Cincinnati Steeler
After James Harrison was cut by the Steelers the thought was that the Baltimore Ravens would be a good fit for him moving forward. Staying within the same division is good for players because they already know the other teams so going to the Ravens made sense. Harrison’s agent set up a meeting between Harrison and Baltimore, but before that date came the Ravens had signed Elvis Dumervil. At that point Harrison became a cold commodity on the free agent market and there was some talk about a ... Read More
