Edinboro upset #22 ranked IUP this past Saturday in what coach Scott Browning called one of the biggest victories in his eight-year career as a head coach. To do that, they had a strong defense but also received some tremendous play from their redshirt-freshman quarterback, Jon Girvin. With his team down 6-0 to start the second quarter, Girvin tossed a 26-yard pass to Jordan Williams to connect for a score and tied the game at six. Later with the scored tied 13-13, Girvin again excited the ... Read More

Two of the team’s leading scorers and overall contributors, center Steven Adams and wing J.J. Moore, left shortly after the season. Adams is now competing with former UConn big man Hasheem Thabeet for a rotation spot with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Moore was granted immediate ... Read More
Today’s game will set the tone for the Steelers season
The Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in the cellar of the AFC North division for the fourth consecutive week, but this week’s matchup with hated rival Baltimore may prove to be the most important of the season. Sitting at 1-4, not many people are expecting the team to make a miraculous postseason run. While time will tell whether that is realistic or not, the game this week against the Ravens will likely set the tone for how the remainder of the season will go, and how competitive the team ... Giroux doesn’t belong in the best in the world conversation
The NHL has a vast list of players in today's game with freakish talent from Evgeni Malkin, Alex Ovechkin, Sydney Crosby and down the line. So when a player is tagged or being called "best player in the world," it's quite a bold statement for that player to either live up to those expectations. During the 2012 NHL playoffs, former Flyers coach Peter Laviolette tagged the emerging Claude Giroux as "best in the world" immediately after the Flyers eliminated their cross-state rival Penguins in ...
