Duquesne (15-14, 5-11) fell to Richmond (15-13, 7-9) 83-67 tonight in dropping its seventh-straight game. Senior guard Derrick Colter led the Dukes with 20 points. Sophomore forward Eric James added 16 points. Senior guard Micah Mason contributed 15 points and 7 assists. Senior forward Terry Allen led the Spiders and court with 25 points. Penguins jet past Winnipeg in decisive win
Following a game where the Pittsburgh Penguins (30-21-8) were outmatched deep into the game, they were able to rebound in a decisive victory over the Winnipeg Jets (26-30-4). The team looked back to their normal selves in today’s 4-1 victory. Pittsburgh also saw Evgeni Malkin and Nick Bonino return to the ice and their presence was very much felt. Penguins acquire D-Man Justin Schultz from Oilers
Following its 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets Saturday afternoon, Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford was busy. With the NHL trade deadline rapidly approaching, Rutherford pulled the trigger on a deal with the Edmonton Oilers that netted the Pens defensemen Justin Schultz. The finals of the PAC Tournament are set with another matchup of the top two seeds in Thomas More and W&J. The top team in the nation, Thomas More, reached the finals with a 105-57 win over Saint Vincent. Senior guard Sydney Moss led all scorers with 34 points. Penguins sign Olli Maatta to six-year contract extension
General manager Jim Rutherford announced Friday that the Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenseman Olli Maatta to a six-year contract extension. Beginning in the 2016-17 season and running through the 2021-22 season, the contract has an average annual value of $4.083 million.
