A year ago, in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship women’s soccer game last year, Abby Losco scored the first goal against Fordham. Duquesne would end up winning the game, 2-0. That goal was the highlight of Losco’s freshman year. “Scoring a goal in that kind of atmosphere was intense, and the play happened very quickly,” Losco said. “The reaction from the entire team was pure excitement, but we knew that we had to keep playing hard and finish the game.” In her freshman season, ... The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that center Matt Cullen will be returning to the team for the 2016-17 season after inking a one year, $1 million contract. Kuhl, offense lead Pirates in big win over Dodgers
There may have been a help wanted sign or two floating around Pittsburgh after the Pirates time and again left runners on base in Saturday's loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Consider the result, 24 hours later an answer to said signs. It was a game in which Starling Marte was a late scratch and frankly they did not need him by any means as the Pirates won, 11-3. Additionally, the Pirates were 1-14 with men in scoring position. Three up, three down: Steelers vs. Lions
The preseason is supposed to be the time for teams to work out the kinks, find continuity and with a little luck, a few new players who can push for a roster spot. In a sloppy 30-17 loss to the Detroit Lions in front of an announced crowd of 44,148 at Heinz Field, it looks apparent that the Pittsburgh Steelers need all the extra time they can get. With a number of starters held out with injuries or for extra rest, the team struggled in a game marred by mistakes and poor play in all three ... Read More
