Cooke, Vokoun lead Penguins to 15th straight win
It seems that with every win the Pittsburgh Penguins have had during their recent winning streak, someone different steps up. Saturday afternoon, it was Matt Cooke's turn to play hero. Cooke broke open a scoreless game in the third period by picking up a loose puck and getting it by New York Islanders goaltender Evgeni Nabokov at the 8:10 mark of the third period. Cooke's goal would be all that penguins goaltender Tomas Vokoun would need as he stopped all 35 shots he faced, as the ... Read More

Power fall to the Sharks 61-35
The Pittsburgh Power (0-2) were hoping Friday night’s game against the Jacksonville Sharks (2-0) would be an opportunity to show what they had learned after dropping the season opener to Utah 64-33. It seems all they’ve learned is that this offensive line is not adequate enough as the same problems from week 1 showed up again in a 61-35 loss to the Sharks.
