The Pittsburgh Steelers completed their NFL Draft weekend by signing 12 undrafted rookie free agents. The 12 players, along with the Steelers eight draft picks, will take part in the team’s rookie minicamp, which will be start on Friday, May 8 and wrap up on Sunday, May 10. Steelers select Louisville safety Gerod Holliman in seventh round
With the No. 239 overall pick in the draft the Pittsburgh Steelers selected free safety Gerod Holliman out of Louisville. Holliman started one year for Louisville but definitely made it count. Jared Hughes got three ground balls, but all three were singles. With Matt Carpenter at the plate, Hughes was unable to get a fourth grounder, instead an opposite field sacrifice fly ended the game.
