“Oh, that’s not fair!” That is what a friend of mine who is a Chicago Cubs fan said Monday when he found out the Pittsburgh Pirates were about to start a series in Milwaukee. Little did he realize he should have rejoiced at that news. Despite losing 7-5 to the Brewers on Tuesday, the Pirates still own a 4.5 game lead over the Cubs for the top Wild Card. But considering that Miller Park is a house of horrors for the Pirates, it would not be a surprise if the Cubs inch a game or two ... Read More

Much has been made about Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown’s contract over the past few months. With wide receivers such as Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Demaryius Thomas and other inking mega deals, many have been left wondering if Brown was next. Pirates find real catch with Cervelli and Stewart combo
It is said that catchers are the generals of the baseball diamond and over the past few seasons this has been extraordinarily true for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Bucs have had their fair share of hits and misses in player projects, but recently it appears the Bucs have been getting a lot of hits when it comes to the catcher position — literally. Remember the days of pulling your hair out because Rod Barajas couldn’t square a ball up any better than he could throw a runner out? Or watching ... Read More

They won the National League pennant and went on to play the New York Yankees in the World Series. During that seven-game duel with the Yankees, a series in which the Pirates were outscored, outhit and outerrored, they came out victorious with ... Read More
