Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi has had one common question during his press conferences the past few weeks. "Who is going to be your starting quarterback?" Narduzzi put an end to all future questions like that when he announced on the ACC coaches teleconference on Wednesday that Nate Peterman would be the Panthers starting quarterback going forward. Peterman started for the Panthers on Saturday in a loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes and didn't play too bad, despite throwing a pair of early ... Read More

The auditorium in Radio City Music Hall in New York echoed cries of shock and disbelief when NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced the Oakland Raiders’ 2009 first-round pick. “With the seventh pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select Darrius Heyward-Bey, wide receiver Maryland,” he uttered into the microphone attached to the podium on the hall’s front stage during the April draft. Ben Roethlisberger named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
The Pittsburgh Steelers looked very impressive during their rout of the San Francisco 49ers Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field. Perhaps no player looked better than quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger’s performance, which saw him complete 21-of-27 passes for 369 yards and three touchdowns was good enough to see the Steelers signal caller be named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week. It is the 12th time in his career that Roethlisberger has earned the honor. Roethlisberger ... Read More
